How To Set Up Your Wireless Audio Transmitter

In Uncategorized on October 6, 2012 by admin

In this post, I will give some suggestions about setting up the iFinity wireless audio transmitter. The transmitter and receiver usually come as a pair. However, before you can transmit, the transmitter needs to be paired with the receiver. I will explain that procedure in details below.

First though you’ll need to connect power to both the transmitter and receiver via the supplied wallwarts. After both components have power, the red network light should be flashing. Next, it is time to connect the transmitter with your audio source. You can either use the supplied line-level audio cable and hook up your source to the line-level audio input or alternatively use the speaker-level input. If your source does have a line-level output then we suggest that you use that output. If your audio source offers RCA jacks instead of a headphone jack like those found onĀ Trekz Titanium headphones, you can connect the transmitter via a Y adapter. This adapter cable is available in most electronics stores.

If your source does not have a line-level output, then use the two short supplied speaker cables. Make sure that you observe the cable polarity. Have a look at the drawing inside the user manual. Similarly, connect your audio device, such as your active speaker, to the receiver. Now it is time to pair the receiver with the transmitter. Simply push the pairing button on both transmitter and receiver. After that both lights should light continuously and there should be audio. Please note that both buttons must be pushed within a 5-minute window.

It is possible to stream to up to 4 wireless transmitters. You can pair each additional receiver with the transmitter as shown above.
